Privacy Policy
This privacy policy describes how Label Sync and other power-ups published under "Just Another Power-Up" (collectively, "the Services", "we", "us") collect, use, and protect information about you.
1. Information we collect
We collect the minimum information needed to operate the Services:
- Trello member ID — a unique identifier provided by Trello to identify your account.
- Trello API token — granted by you via Trello's OAuth flow, used only to perform actions you initiate (read boards, sync labels, etc.). Tokens are held only in memory during webhook-triggered syncs and are not persisted to disk.
- Email address — collected by our payment processor (Stripe) during checkout if you subscribe to a paid power-up. We use it to send billing-related emails (trial reminders, payment confirmations, failed payment notices).
- Stripe customer ID and subscription ID — stored to link your Trello account with your subscription.
- Webhook IDs — Trello webhook identifiers created on your behalf to enable automatic label sync.
- Usage metadata — the Trello board IDs you have configured as sync targets, the time of your last sync, and your sync preferences. This data is stored in Trello's private member storage (not on our servers).
We do not collect your name, avatar, username, board contents, card contents, comments, or any other Trello data beyond what is strictly needed to perform label sync operations.
2. How we use information
- To provide the Services you request (e.g., syncing labels between boards).
- To process subscription payments and send you billing-related emails.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your information for advertising, analytics profiling, or any purpose unrelated to providing the Services.
3. Third-party services
We use the following third-party providers to operate the Services. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Trello / Atlassian — hosts the power-up and provides the Trello API. See Atlassian's privacy policy.
- Stripe — processes subscription payments. We never see your payment card details. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS SES) — delivers transactional email. See AWS privacy notice.
4. Data storage and security
Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on infrastructure we operate in the European Union. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.2+) for data in transit and standard database access controls. Access to production data is restricted to the operator of the Services.
Your Trello API token is not persisted to disk. It is held in memory only for the duration needed to complete webhook-triggered sync operations.
5. Data retention
- Subscription records are retained for as long as your subscription is active, and for up to 7 years afterwards to comply with tax and accounting obligations.
- Webhook IDs and sync configuration are retained until you disconnect the power-up or remove it from your boards.
- You can delete all your data at any time by clicking Disconnect Account in the power-up's settings or by emailing us (see below).
6. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you have rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, and other applicable laws, including:
- The right to access the information we hold about you.
- The right to request correction or deletion of your information.
- The right to object to processing or request restriction.
- The right to data portability.
- The right to withdraw consent.
- The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@label-sync.com.
7. International transfers
Our primary infrastructure is located in the European Union. Some third-party providers (Stripe, AWS) may process data in other regions including the United States, under standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
8. Children
The Services are not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Material changes will be communicated via email to subscribed users where applicable.
10. Contact
